    Can someone give me a comparison of Kirsten before and after Mattel? I think the one I bought on Ebay might be a pre Mattel, but I'm not sure.

    my Kirsten is also 1980's PM and I have pictures of newer Kirstens in my Chicago album!

    The Kirsten in my photo albums is West German 1986- compare it to her. The PM ones had her face mold. (You can see her up close by clicking on pictures 1 and 5 in the Kirsten album in my signature and then clicking on "view original image.") I've seen Mattel Kirsten compared to my PM German one and the face molds are quite different. Mattel Kirsten has a flatter, wider face. Her hair is honey blonde whereas PM Kirsten has light ash blonde hair. Also, PM Kirsten's meet dress pattern is slightly different from Mattel Kirsten's. PM Kirsten's meet dress (see picture 1 in my Kirsten album) has white in the flowers whereas Mattel Kirsten doesn't. Hope that helps!
